Artist's Comments

I was gonna talk a bit about the conception of the piece, but it's change a lot since my initial idea, so I'll try and keep it brief.

Do you realize that the image of Mickey is one of the two most reproduced in the world?
The other being the image of Jesus......strange, isn't it?

ones a work of fiction....the other is a mouse........oh.......Ha........just kidding....**nudge nudge**
yeah that was kind of tasteless...
but I did find a lot of similarities between them. I won't list those similarities cause I abandoned the idea all together.

The praying pose that I have now is a little left over religious bit that came from my original intention of crucifying Mickey on the Mickey Mouse Silhouette...

5 inches in height

Mickey Mouse by ~Ballistyc is a deliciously detailed sculpture that pokes at the two most reproduced images ever... the unpainted version is also sweet looking, look for it in this gallery! (Featured by `stigmatattoo)

Gritty, disturbing, amazing. I love how his skeleton looks like a human baby skeleton. Very nice work.
